HP's new grant program for U.S.-based NGOs

Tell your favorite nonprofit: HP's Technology for Community Grant Initiative has been launched!

HP has announced its 2006 U.S. HP Technology for Community Grant Initiative. If you volunteer with or know of a stellar nonprofit organization in your community that would benefit from the integration of HP technology into their operations, be sure to share the news about this HP grant opportunity.

The grant provides technology tools to nonprofit organizations to enhance their effectiveness and to support the innovative use of mobile technology. During 2006 HP will award up to 100 nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico with an HP wireless technology package valued at approximately $17,000.

Applicants must be qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations in the U.S. or Puerto Rico and operate programs in one or more of the following areas: health and human services, workforce development, environment, arts and technology, or community/economic development.

And…Applications are still open for the HP Technology for Teaching Grant.

There is still time for K-12 public schools and two- and four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico to submit proposals for a grant through the 2006 U.S. HP Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative. The application deadline for these mobile technology education grants is Wednesday, February 15, 5 p.m. Pacific time. More information is available at: http://www.hp.com/go/hpteach
