Marine Geodesy Journal will publish a pecial issue on Marine and Coastal Geographic Information Systems-SECOND CALL

Marine Geodesy Journal will publish its 5th special issue on Marine and Coastal Geographic Information Systems (M&CGIS) in its issue of Vol. 30, No. 1, 2007.
Dr. Rongxing (Ron) Li of The Ohio State University will be the guest editor.

In addition to theoretical M&CGIS topics, we especially encourage submission of papers on new technologies for Marine and Coastal data collection, processing, analysis and management. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
  • High resolution satellite coastal imaging,
  • LIDAR mapping,
  • Multisensor remote sensing of land, water, and interaction areas,
  • Shoreline modeling and coastal changes,
  • Multispectral and hyperspectral imaging for Ecosystem management,
  • M&CGIS data uncertainty and quality analysis, and
  • Application systems and case studies.
All manuscripts should conform to the submission standards found in the Instructions to Authors that regularly appear in the journal. Papers should be free from promoting a specific commercial product. All invited and contributed manuscripts will be peer reviewed. Authors who wish to contribute to this special issue should submit the manuscript to:
